Paul McMorran started his career in 1983 after completing an engineering HND at college.
He was lucky enough to gain experience from a mechanical master, Peter Lander of Sigma Engineering, during which time he became interested in fine tuning and adaptations of engines.
It was during the Mk1 Golf GTI era that Paul really found his interest and he has worked on VAG cars ever since, aspiring to their constant innovation, reliability and enthusiastic owners.
He has grown M-Tech into a successful business with a continued following of loyal customers, some since he started in business in 1989. With over 35 years experience in the motor trade specialising in VW Audi Seat & Skoda and with the top IMI Master Technician qualifications awarded in 2006 Paul is able to provide expertise and quality workmanship, a rare find these days.
Adam Baker has over 20 years experience in the motor trade specialising in VW Audi Seat & Skoda. He has achieved a City & Guilds NVQ in Vehicle Mechanical & Electronic Systems and Modern Apprenticeship in Maintenance & Repair of Light Vehicles. During his career, he has also attained Bosch Certification in many vehicle-related fields. He began his career in 1996 working alongside Paul as his apprentice.
From an early stage, it was clear Adam had an aptitude for hard work and excellent workmanship. He also enjoyed being part of the service crew for HMP Motorsport competing in National & International rallies. Adam has honed his skills to become a skilled technician with an ability to work to the highest level.
Ann McMorran has supported and worked alongside Paul for the past 28 years. Ann originally trained as a Norland children’s nurse before completing a part time bookkeeping course. She has 23 years of experience using the Sage accounting system along with experience in a customer support role.
Oliver Clements is joining M-Tech this summer and will commence training at College as an apprentice this Autumn. His college course will last for three years after which he will gain a level 3 diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. What better team to teach and guide this enthusiastic young technician!
